Charity Events
There are numerous charity events around the state that benefit many of our local communities. Maine Golf would like to support these tournaments being held at our member clubs throughout the season by offering this space for event organizers to advertise their events for free.
All requests will go to a mailbox and be posted at the earliest convenience (a manual process to eliminate spam).
The Freeport High School Golf team has been invited to attend the National High School Golf Association (NHSGA) Championship!
This is an invite-only tournament made up of the top high school golfers from across the country. Freeport High School’s Golf Boosters is asking for your help to send (5/6) players and coach, Jason Ouellette, to the NHSGA Invitational’s in Frisco, Texas July, 2024. After placing 2nd in the 2023 Class B State Championship match, the team has been invited to this national invitational. In order to make this happen we need to raise over $10,000 which will help cover the cost of accommodations, practice rounds, airfare, tournament fees, and transportation.
By supporting this cause, you are empowering these young golfers’ dreams as they represent the town of Freeport, Pownal, and Durham, Maine while showing their talent and sportsmanship on the national stage. This trip goes beyond golf and provides an invaluable educational experience for these student athletes to interact with other diverse golfers and coaches ultimately building on to teamwork, resilience, and more.
Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these talented young golfers. By raising these funds for Freeport Maine High School Golf to go to the NHSGA National Invitational, we not only provide them with an incredible opportunity but also demonstrate the power of community support for these young athletes. 100% of the funds will go to this trip.

Breast Cancer Survivors Golf Program
A FREE one-day retreat to introduce breast cancer survivors to the therapeutic advantages of Golf. Hands on golf instruction and workshops addressing the natural benefits of exercise, mindfulness, somatic movement, and meditation. No golf experience necessary.
