Once a junior golfer is ready to enter the competitive world, Maine Golf has a variety of options available to suit every junior golfer. From fun, team-based tournaments, to individual stroke play events awarding Junior Player of the Year points, the Junior Competitions page has a tournament for every Maine junior.
Maine Junior Championship
Maine’s Flagship Junior Tournament!
This flighted, 2-day championship will be hosted at Val Halla GC (Cumberland) this year on July 29-30. Headlined by a competitive individual stroke play format, but also awarding prizes for the optional team best ball component, the Maine Junior Championship is a championship fit for an NCAA golfer and a brand new tournament player alike.

Maine Junior Open Series
New to the Maine Golf junior schedule in 2024, the Maine Junior Open Series is back and expanded upon in 2025! Featuring two new tournament sites (Goose River GC and York Golf & Tennis Club), flights for High School and Middle School players, and tournament divisions for individual stroke play and 2-player team best ball scoring, the Maine Junior Open Series has you covered.

Maine Junior & College Tour
A new addition to Maine Golf’s competitive slate is the Maine Junior & College Tour! Made possible by filling the back end of the field during Men’s Play Day events, these tee time blocks are available for juniors and players up to age 23. With an entry fee of just $30, these events are an accessible way to play some high quality courses on Saturday’s.

Sunday Sweeps
Maine Golf is proud to bring back Sunday Sweeps this September for another great season of play. These events blend social golf with competitive golf, as five age-based flights keep competition fair and rewarding. Finish well enough in the five-week regular season and earn your way into the Sunday Sweeps Fall Championship, held at Prouts Neck Country Club, on October 19th.

PGA Junior League
A fun, league-based competitive golf opportunity split into two age groups, 13u and 17u. With a two-person scramble format playing other teams in your local league, PGA Jr. League is a great introduction to competition while being a ton of fun.
