Caleb Manuel, the reigning Maine Amateur Champion and Player of the Year, added another title to his resume yesterday, winning the Big East individual championship. The University of Connecticut sophomore from Topsham posted rounds of 68-66-71 – 205 (-11) to earn co-medalist honors with Gregor Tait of Seton Hall University. Manuel went on to win the playoff and earn his Division I conference individual title. The win gets him a berth in an NCAA regional tournament, where he will compete as an individual.
