PORTLAND – A busy week for Maine Golf continued on Tuesday, June 21 with the Senior Four-Ball Championship taking place at Riverside GC. On a day perfect for scoring, twenty teams shot a round under par in the best ball event. At the end of the day, two teams emerged as the co-champions with a score of 66 (-6). Past champions Scott Dewitt and Keith Patterson (Biddeford-Saco CC) tied with Rocky Myers (Martindale CC) and Dan Quinlan (Falmouth CC) to claim the title. John Ladd and Dave Whitman (Norway CC) finished in third just one stroke back with 67. Five teams finished tied for fourth with a score of 68.

On the net side of the competition, Peter Freyer and Richard Plante (Lakewood GC) led the way with a round of 63 (-9). In a tie for second were Bob Barber and Ken Sawtelle (Biddeford-Saco CC) and Mike Arsenault and John Allen (Dutch Elm CG) with a score of 64.
