SCARBOROUGH — The final women’s championship of the year gets underway this morning on the Southern Maine coast, as the Women’s Match Play Championship heads to Prouts Neck over the next two days. The event will start on Monday morning with stroke play qualifying, where the low 8 players will advance to match play. Monday afternoon will see the Quarterfinal matches take place along the links-style course in Scarborough.
On Tuesday, only four players will remain and return to Prouts, with two matches being played before a champion is crowned in the afternoon.
