Maine Golf conducts over 120 days of competition each year, from elite tournaments crowning state champions, to fun-filled one day events with your friends rounding out the rest of your group. Whether you’re a scratch golfer looking to play in the Maine Amateur Championship, or a mid-to-high handicapper looking to participate in one of the Maine Golf’s individual or team events, there is an opportunity for you to play.

Maine Golf was founded over a century ago, and at its core our mission was to be the governing body of the sport in the state. What started out with just the Maine Amateur and Maine Open as the only tournaments we conducted has turned into so much more. Now, Maine Golf offers championship events to men and women of all abilities, in formats for individuals, pairs, and teams. From 54-hole events to determine the best players in the state, to 18-hole handicapped events where you play with your friends, there is a Maine Golf championship event for everyone.
