Women’s Play Days
< RETURN TO Play Days
Maine Golf Play Days are fun and competitive one-day events that give members the chance to play at golf courses all around the state of Maine. From April to October, we offer men’s and women’s one-day tournaments open to players of all abilities. All players that belong to a Maine Golf member club and have an active Handicap Index® are eligible to play in these fun events.
While these tournaments are more laid back and informal than our championship events, by no means are they without fun and competition! Play Days take place all across the state and have varied formats throughout the season to keep things interesting from spring to fall.
ELIGIBILITY: You are eligible to participate in women’s Play Days if you are a current member of a Maine Golf club and have a Handicap Index® from that club. You must complete a registration profile through the Maine Golf website.
A member may bring a guest one-time to an Maine Golf Play Day. Guests are not allowed to play in any team or championship tournaments. Notify the tournament manager with guest details via email to process the registration.
FORMATS: Play Days, with a few notable exceptions, are 18-hole stroke play events with full handicaps. The maximum course handicap allowed for competition is 40. The field will be divided into equal flights for individual and team prize awards. Each player within a foursome should sign and attest the official scorecard at the end of a round. As per Maine Golf Pace of Play Policy, the scorecard should indicate beginning, mid, and ending times of a round.
REGISTRATION: Weekly tournament fee is $30. Registration must be completed online. Players sign up individually but may request a playing partner(s) at the time of registration. Tee times are determined at random under the supervision of the tournament manager. Consideration is given to occasional special requests as well as commuting distance of players. Tee sheets are posted online approximately 12 days before the tournament. Carts may be reserved and paid for in advance at the time of registration.
All tournament information for the season can be found using the link below.
All players must have a profile in Golf Genius to register for women’s events. Use the link below to create a profile so you can compete in any of our great tournaments!

PRIZES: Gross and net prizes are awarded in each flight. The number of places paid is determined by the size of the field. Winnings accumulate in your Maine Golf account.
CANCELATION POLICY:Cancellations/withdrawals must be made at least seven days prior to the competition in order to not have your credit card charged for the event. Any pre-paid cart fees will be refunded regardless of when withdrawal occurs as long as the course has not brought in additional carts. If a substitute player(s) fill your tee slot, then you will not be charged for the event. Exceptions are made for extenuating circumstances.
