Men’s Player of the Year

Every year Maine Golf recognizes Player of the Year award winners in the following categories for men: Dr. Leonardo Buck Player of the Year, and the Senior Player of the Year. These awards are presented annually to the players that accumulate the most performance points throughout the calendar year in their respective category.

In addition to naming a Player of the Year and Senior Player of the year each year, points are also used to determine eligibility into the Match Play Invitational, Tri-States, and can earn exemptions into Maine Golf and New England Golf Association events.

Current Men’s Player of the Year Races:

• 2026 Dr. Leonardo Buck Player of the Year Point Leaders | August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2026
• 2026 Senior Player of the Year Point Leaders | September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2026

Players earn points throughout the season as outlined by the Player of the Year (POY) system that has been established for each group by the Maine Golf Tournament Committee.
