CUMBERLAND – The Maine Golf Hall of Fame is proud to announce the class of 2022. Five (5) nominees will be inducted this year at the Poland Spring Resort on Thursday, October 13, 2022. The inductees are as follows:
- Casey Bourque, PGA – Top instructor, amateur and professional golfer from Dutch Elm GC / Arizona
- Robert “Bob” Girvan, II – Top amateur golfer from Penobscot Valley CC
- Julie Green – Top amateur golfer from Bangor Municipal GC and coach at Husson College
- Norm Hevey – Owner, superintendent of Dutch Elm GC
- Leon Oliver, PGA – Top player, owner, superintendent at Sheepscot Links
The Maine Golf Hall of Fame was founded in 1993 to recognize and honor Maine’s outstanding individuals who excelled in the great game of golf, whether as a player, coach, benefactor, executive, or a person who has made a major impact on the game.
The total number of inductees will reach 144 since its inception. There were 19 nominations for the Maine Golf Hall of Fame this year, which is located in the famous Maine State Building on the grounds of Poland Spring Resort.
