Indoor facilities have changed the landscape of golf in colder climates, and it’s no different here in Maine. With facilities scattered all around the state, indoor golf is becoming increasingly popular here in Maine and across the nation. While it can never replace the feeling of watching a perfectly struck ball flying through the air toward the flag, indoor golf brings friends together during the colder months, giving players the chance to swing the sticks twelve months of the year.
Maine Golf is pleased to announce the 2023 Maine Amateur Indoor Championship, a NEW championship for men and women who play indoor golf!
The championship will be a 36-hole stroke play event held on Saturday, March 18 for men, and Sunday, March 19 for women.
We will utilize five (5) qualifying sites to determine the final field of 32 players to compete for the title. There is a two-week window (2/24/23 to 3/11/23) for players to qualify for the championship. Tee times can be made at any of the three qualifying sites that work for you:
- Martindale CC (Auburn)
- Sim City Indoor Golf (Westbrook)
- Virtual Golf Club of Brunswick
- Barnes Brook GC (Enfield)
- JW Parks GC (Pittsfield)
We are partnering with the 96.3 BIGJAB sports radio to broadcast the final round “live” of FM 96.3.
The entry fee for the qualifier is $60, which includes one hour of screen time. So grab some of your buddies and head to the indoor course for a fun and competitive round in the middle of winter!
