The road to Webhannet begins on Tuesday, June 7, with the first qualifier for the 2022 Maine Amateur Championship taking place at Bridgton Highlands CC. This will be the first of five qualifiers taking place between June 7 and June 22, as competitors from across the Pine Tree State will attempt to play their way into the state’s top amateur championship. This year’s 103rd Maine Amateur Championship will be contested at Webhannet GC for the first time in club history on July 12-14.
The field for the championship proper will have 52 exempt players competing at the venerable Kennebunk golf club. The remainder of the field will be determined from 352 players who applied for the five qualifiers. Across the qualifying venues, 80 spots in the championship proper will be available.
