FREEPORT, ME — Maine Golf is pleased to announce the recipients from the class of 2026 earning awards from the Maine Golf Scholarship Fund. Since its inception in 1950, the Fund has helped over 600 students from all 16 counties across the Pine Tree State to pursue higher education. Maine Golf has awarded nearly $3 million in scholarships over the years to Maine students with a passion for golf.
“It is a privilege for Maine Golf to recognize and support this year’s scholarship recipients,” said Executive Director Brian Bickford. “We take tremendous pride in watching these young men and women develop through the game of golf here in Maine and pursue the next chapter of their educational journeys. We congratulate this year’s recipients and wish them continued success both on and off the golf course.”
Students are selected based on their character, financial need, academic performance, and participation in the game of golf and/or the golf industry. For 2026, the Maine Golf Scholarship Fund Committee has selected 12 new students to receive awards of $2,000 per year, renewable for up to four years of undergraduate education. Two additional standout students will receive a one-time grant of $5,000 from the Frank Langlois Scholarship Fund.
