After a four-year hiatus, the Charlie’s Maine Open will return to the schedule this summer. The Maine Open is one of the two events that led to the founding of the Maine State Golf Association in 1917, and along with the Maine Amateur, it’s the longest-standing event in association history.
The Maine Open was not played at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, when state borders were shut down and out-of-state professionals could not enter the state. The tournament was briefly replaced by the Maine Event, which served in its place for four years, giving Maine professionals and amateurs the chance to compete alongside each other.
We’re excited to bring back this historic tournament to Augusta CC on June 24-26. Charlie’s Motor Mall will again serve as the title sponsor of the tournament. The event is open to men and women, professionals and amateurs alike. For more information, click on the button below.
Registration deadline is June 10, 2024.
