ROCKLAND – The 2022 Maine Golf championship season is nearing its end, but there are still a few trophies up for grabs as we near the start of fall. On September 17-18, many of the state’s top players will descend on Rockland GC to compete in the Four-Ball Championship, the last team event of the season.
In this format, teams of two players will play their own ball, with the low score of the two counting for the team score on the hole. This year will have the largest field in over a decade competing in the 36-hole competition, with prizes awarded in both gross and net divisions.
Play will start on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m., with defending champions Brian Bilodeau and Jace Pearson leading the way in the opening group. This year’s championship has 56 sides competing in the 112 player field.
