AUBURN — The first match play event of the 2025 season takes place at Fox Ridge GC this week on August 4-6. In this invitation-only event, 32 of the top male amateurs in the state will compete over five rounds of single elimination match play over the course of five rounds at the difficult layout in Auburn. The field is made up of the top 16 players from the recent Maine Amateur at Waterville, with the rest of the field determined by players’ standings in the 2025 Player of the Year race.
